President visits YES office

President John Dramani Mahama has visited the offices of the newly launched Youth Enterprise Support (YES) Initiative located on the Research Road at Okponglo near Accra. The visit was to enable him interact with the YES team and inspect their facilities.
YES, an initiative to support young people with business ideas and plans with start-up capital and business management skills was launched on Tuesday night by the President.
Mr. Mahama was taken round the offices Presidential Staffer Kojo Adu-Asare, who is now in charge of the Secretariat.
Launching the YES, the President said the Initiative will “provide collaborative assistance to you our young compatriots so that you can grab opportunities early in life, and use the positive trapping of those opportunities to improve your livelihood and those of others by investing your resources, talents, and creativity in productive ventures.”
“YES is a manifestation of our strong conviction that our young people hold the key to socio-economic prosperity. But Prosperity will not come easy. History has shown that the prosperity you desire will only manifest itself through innovation, creativity, and the audacity to turn your ideas into businesses”, Mr. Mahama indicated.
